OpenBar’s creation was in the summer of “2003”. Byron and Steve Peltier decided to start their own band. The wheels were turning, and we were looking. Billy Anderson auditioned for lead vocals and was the perfect fit. After many auditions looking for an exciting and talented guitar player, Mike Edgerly was found. After much deliberation and a long road trip, our name “Open Bar Band” was founded. October 18, 2003 was the date of our first gig held at the Wooden Nickel in Lewis, NY.
After many, many great shows May 21st 2004 was Mike’s last show with us, our first change of the band.
Gordie Barrett joined OBB as our new guitarist. Gordie brings much energy and excitement and a fresh guitar sound.
September 23rd 2006 Rodney “Hot Rod” MacNeil made his debut as the new lead singer for OBB. Hot Rod brings a different style of leadership and showmanship to OBB.
Billy is BACK!! After taking a year off and trying other avenues, Billy has returned as the Lead Singer for OBB!!!
Steve has retired as bassist of OBB. You will be missed my brother. Taking over the duties of keeping the bass beat.

07/11/2015 Steve Barmash has taken over the bass for OBB. Steve brings a heavy bass backbeat along with vocals.
09/15/18 Melissa Murphy has joined OBB as their lead vocalist. Check out her bio page. Thats right, we have added a high powered, simply amazingly talented lead female vocalist. The upcoming months will have many, many ,many new songs added to our list, but don't worry, we still will be doing alot of your favorites you've come to love.
END OF AN ERA !!!!
Billy's last show with OBB was Friday night 10/05/18 at the American Legion in Schuylerville. It was the perfect send off, the place was crazy.
We thank everyone that came out to wish Billy the perfect send off. The love was felt and the well over two hundred people jamming the legion got what they came for. See the photo section for lots of great photos courtesy of Gary Andrus. Billy shared the lead vocals with our new lead vocalist, Melissa Murphy.

09/07/19 Becky Luft has joined OBB as our second lead vocalist, Becky also brings alot of energy and will also add many more new songs along with some awesome harmonies.
Now OBB brings four different vocal sounds to our electrifying shows.
